A rough draft

Sara Reynolds

Learning about haiku has really opened my eyes to the world around me. I need not say, I was less than excited to take this class. Saying that, I have truly see things differently when I look at them. Here is a short collection of my best haiku. Enjoy!

her piano in my house
the keys worn by
her hands

one blue canopy
a hot summer day
in the cemetery

thunder rolls
off the porch
we wade through puddles

hot summer heat
sleeping in our bathing suits
my childhood home

in the kitchen
cigarettes second drawer down
her only vice

cherry almond lotion
her scent is everywhere
I miss her
