Maggie writes, "I picked this haiku because of the feeling of jealosy it gave me. I could see the person mad at the other contestant who won more than them and it makes me laugh."

Maggie writes, "I picked this haiku because it also made me laugh. I could see the person so excited to be there and be picked, hopping down the aisle, waving their hands and then, WHOOPS, they trip or walk into another fans waving arms or something."

I climb the steps

I'm still excited


Introducing the next game
Stage lights glinting
off of his overly tanned skin

commercial break
I turn to discuss the weekend
with my friends behind me

watching “This Old House”
the remote
at the other end of the couch

6 friends on an orange couch
I sit alone
eating ramen


My favorite game show

Come on Down!

sailboat and treadmill


I cross my fingers
wishing to be picked
my friend gets called down


knees weaken
