Hakuna Mutata Does Not Equal
Cider and Tea
Selected Tanka

by
Bill Rzeszutko

This collection is my attempt to show the beauty I have seen in Tanka. The title denotes the hilarity and seriousness of some of my work.

calm wind
under and oak
immersed in an adventure
sword drawn
to save the princess

hot, soothing tea
laughter and conversation
until I speak his name
and she whispers
her inmost secret

haikua mutata
is the life!
fame, women, beer
until my heart
gets frost bite

Samuel Adams
Blue Moon
Fat Tire
all sit empty
on the cupboard

Oummmm
will I be
better at the wild thing
if I practice yoga?
Oummmm
