Uncrinkeled Paper

by
Michelle Ginger Dixson

Hello dear reader. I am Michelle Ginger Dixson, senior at Millikin University and graduating in December of 2010. This collection of haiku stems from the many changes happening to me this year; new friends, new writing styles, new jobs. Please read with an open mind, and I hope you enjoy this short collection.

from under the couch
waddles a cat
uncrinkled paper

dropping down
onto the forgotten banana
a solitary fly

he speaks
of violating his morals
early morning drive

laughing at others
she realizes she isn't
happy

he talks of her
as if they were together
crumpled petals

pigtails bouncing
she misses the cracks
in the sidewalk
